How to find Shield Storage in Vancouver, WA
From the North
Salmon Creek Regional Park/Klineline Pond
To get to our facility after a day of fishing at the Salmon Creek Regional Park/Klineline pond, begin by going southeast toward NE 117th St and turn left. Then, make a right turn onto NE Highway 99. Next, turn right onto NE 99th St and use the left 2 lanes to merge onto I-5 S via the ramp to Portland. You will then want to follow I-5 S to E 4th Plain Blvd in Vancouver. When you get to exit 1D for East 4th Plain Blvd, use the right lane to take the exit. Keep right at the fork and merge onto E 4th Plain Blvd. Then, continue driving along E 4th Plain Blvd. You will pass the intersection at Kauffman Ave where you will see the 76 Station on the corner and turn right onto Scott St where you will find our storage facility.
From the East
After a round of golf at the Royal Oaks Country Club, you can store your clubs for safe keeping with Shield Storage! To get to our facility, start by using NE Royal Oak Dr to take NE Thurston Way to merge onto the WA-500 toward I-205. You will then continue on WA-500 W to E 4th Plain Blvd. Take exit 1D from I-5 S to East 4th Plain Blvd. You will want to stay to the right at the fork to merge onto E 4th Plain Blvd as you follow E 4th Plain Blvd, you will pass the intersection at Kauffman Ave where you will see the 76 Station on the corner. Then you will turn right onto Scott St which is where you will find our Shield Storage location.
From the West
To get to our facility, you will begin by going south on N Kelley Point Park Rd where you will turn right. Then, continue toward N Marine Dr where you will turn left. Next, use the left 2 lanes to turn left to merge onto I-5 N to cross the Columbia River entering Washington. You will then use the right 2 lanes to take exit 1C-1D for 4th Plain Blvd. Be sure to stay to the left at the fork to continue toward E 4th Plain Blvd and turn left. Drive until you pass the intersection at Kauffman Ave where you will see the 76 Station on the corner. Then, you will turn right onto Scott St which is where you will find our Shield Storage location.
From the South
To get to our facility from across the river in the Portland area, you will begin by getting to the N Interstate Ave/Pacific Hwy W and heading north. Then, turn right onto N Maryland Ave and then make another right onto N Going St. Get onto the I-5 N to Vancouver and take it N to cross the Columbia River entering Washington. My experience so far with shield storage has been 100% better than that of the last storage I had rented from. When moving to a new storage unit, my main concern was security of the place. The last unit had no security, my unit was among 8 units to be broken into and all stuff was stolen. When I arrived at shield storage once I saw that it was gated and was far more secure than the last, I was happy. The management was very helpful and caring and appeared to take an interest In keeping their clients units amd belongings safe from thieves. There is always someone from management checking things out making sure everyone inside the gated entrance is supposed to be there. So far my experience with shield storage has been wonderful and I would recommend to anyone.

I have noticed several times coming into my unit building that the front area seems to have others garbage / debris .. as if customers don’t want to pick up after themselves ( unfortunately). No fault of the employee/ owner I’m guessing. I also tend to come in at off hrs so I’m sure the messes are cleaned up promptly by staff upon arrival and noticing ! RH

Great location, secure storage and friendly, helpful staff. I had need of a storage unit when my family relocated to Vancouver, WA. After researching the self-storage companies in the area, I chose to use Shield Storage. The office was clean and the employees were helpful and friendly, The price for a climate controlled interior unit was less than the price of other outdoor units. Not to mention the access times and security features fit my needs. If you're looking for a storage unit, I can't recommend Shield Storage of Vancouver enough.

Good prices for the area, clean units. The young man who runs the counter is excellent and when he leaves I hope management takes the time to find someone equally excellent because he is a big part of the positive experience here. The rental terms are a bit sterner than some. The fact that you have to walk to the main office to get an unloading/loading cart is a pain. Management seems to handle issues promptly. Overall I would come back here for another unit at some point.

100% positive experience. Tanner is an absolute ROCK STAR (but he drinks Monster ) to work with and who knew I could enjoy moving all my worldly possessions into a storage unit? I've gone with other people when they have things in storage, but this was my first experience and it was an immensely positive one. The office and grounds are clean, the place has tons of security and the equipment is clearly well taken care of. If that's not enough, they were very competitively priced and located right where I needed them to be. Thank you Shield Storage and Tanner for making a very stressful time as positive as possible. Earlier review below: Overall an excellent experience with the staff for everything. It was an easy move in, with great customer service. I found the place clean as a whistle for a storage center. I had a timely setup experience, with simple pay options, clear directions and information on requirements. The office staff members treated me with respect and demonstrated the special lock used, which I haven’t used before. Highly recommended if you’re looking for storage space.

I would highly recommend Shield Storage to anyone I know! It’s a very clean environment and the staff are also great! Tanner and Tammy did a great job making the whole “move in” process quick and easy. Which was nice because I was in a hurry the day I signed up. Tanner got me through all the paperwork and installed my cylinder lock and I was in and out with my key and gate code in less then 30 minutes!!! A++++
